Red Dawn, the RedGoddessofLove, is a Las Vegas stand-up comic seen on KillTonyMania on Netflix, where she won a Big Joke Book, Tony Hinchcliffe told her she's "built for comedy," and Jeff Ross said she "leads with love." Ten years of stage time and a life with more plot twists than most Netflix series give her sharp, fearless, big-hearted comedy about dating, aging, and refusing to act her age.
Red Dawn is exactly what her name promises: bold, bright, and impossible to ignore. Billed as "The Dirty Old Church Lady of Stand-Up," the Las Vegas comic stepped onto the Kill Tony stage at Dolby Live at Park MGM for KillTonyMania on Netflix, blessed the whole stadium with her holy water, and walked off with a Big Joke Book. Tony Hinchcliffe told her she's "built for comedy," and Jeff Ross said, "You just lead with love, and I love that about you."
She survived getting T-boned by a semi and a week in a coma, then came back with a decade of stage time across Las Vegas and the Midwest. Her comedy is smart, sex-positive, and disarmingly warm. She has produced her own comedy shows in Las Vegas and Lincoln, Nebraska since 2018, created Hot Mic Hot Wings and hosts The Red Dawn Show. Her 2017 radio shows reached more than 1.5 million listeners in over 26 countries. She knows how to read a room, work a crowd, and fill a seat.
Some comics study comedy. Red Dawn lived it first, then brought the evidence on stage.
The Las Vegas comedian, billed as "The Dirty Old Church Lady of Stand-Up," got her name pulled on KillTonyMania, the Kill Tony special filmed at Dolby Live at Park MGM during WrestleMania week and streamed on Netflix. She opened by blessing the stadium, closed by turning water into wine, and earned a Big Joke Book from a panel of Tony Hinchcliffe, Redban, Jeff Ross and The Undertaker. Tony's verdict: "You're built for comedy." Jeff Ross's: "There's something very special about you… you just lead with love."
Her road to that stage runs through ten years of open mics, showcases and competitions in Las Vegas and the Midwest, including Vegas' Next Headliner, a YouTube comedy showcase with Lisa Buck and Pam Krugman, and guest spots from Glick's Comedy Lounge to Lincoln's Zoo Bar. Before that it ran through a semi truck that T-boned her Volkswagen and a week-long coma. She came out of it, in her words, "very heightened."
Red Dawn's comedy is smart, fearless, and warm. She takes on what most people whisper about, from sex and dating to aging and starting over, and drags it into the spotlight. Off stage she's a producer and host. She has produced comedy nights since 2018, at Coop's in Las Vegas, The Zeppelin in Lincoln, Nebraska (2020–2021) and The Highball in Lincoln (2023–2024). She created the comedy-meets-hot-wings show Hot Mic Hot Wings and hosts the podcast The Red Dawn Show. In 2017 she hosted the radio shows Dawn of Sexx and Gettin' Comfy with Cannabis, which reached more than 1.5 million listeners in over 26 countries. She's also a TV guest and the founder of The Giving Water nonprofit. She brings a tight set, a following, and real promotion to every room she plays.
On stage, Red Dawn makes a room feel seen and then makes it laugh. Off stage, she teaches companies to do the first half on purpose.
Dawn is the founder of The Love Effect, a worldwide movement built on one idea: love is something we can learn, practice, teach and share. Its motto is Love Yourself. Love Others. Change the World. As The Love Effect puts it, "A workplace that teaches appreciation becomes a better place to work."
